About AS2 Certify
A testing tool for AS2 connections, built by one engineer who got tired of how hard this was supposed to be.
AS2 Certify is built by Marwan Nakhaleh, run under Branson Solutions LLC. It is a small, independent software business, not a funded startup and not a big vendor.
You can reach a human at support@as2certify.org. That address goes to Marwan.
Why this product exists
AS2 onboarding has a strange property: the protocol is open and well documented (RFC 4130), yet proving a connection works is expensive and opaque. You schedule test windows with your partner, trade certificates over email, fire test messages into the void, and then read raw MDN disposition strings to guess what broke. Weeks pass. Nobody owns the failure.
Consultants will do the validation for you, at a price that makes sense for a large implementation and not much else. Free tools exist but stop at a port check. The middle case, one engineer who just needs to know does this connection work and if not, what exactly is wrong, was not being served.
So Marwan built the tool he wished existed during those onboarding cycles. AS2 Certify sends a real signed and encrypted AS2 message to your endpoint, verifies the MDN receipt, and returns a graded report that names the exact value every check observed. It runs in about a minute, needs no partner coordination, and costs less than one hour of consultant time.
What we will not do
Inflate results. If a check cannot be verified from real evidence, the report says so instead of printing a green pass. A test tool that flatters your configuration is worse than no tool at all.
Count your private keys. If you upload a certificate bundle, the public certificate is extracted in your browser and your private key never leaves your device.
